FAQ (Frequently Answered Questions)

IPCQ0001:

Q: When starting IP-Checker, I get an error message saying: "Component 'MSWSCK.OCX' not correctly registrered: file is missing or invalid"!

A: You are running IP-Checker version 1.20 or earlier. These versions did not include all the needed files, so the smartest thing is to download version 1.21. If you really want to run an older version, download the MSWINSCK.OCQ file and Unzip it to your Windows\System directory (usally C:\Windows\System).

IPCQ0002:

Q: When starting IP-Checker, I get an error message saying: "A required dll, MSVBVM50.DLL was missing"!

A: If you get that message or something simular, you are using version 1.20 or earlier. Version 1.21 doesn't use that file, so either you are smart and go downloading the 1.21 version, or get the Microsoft Visual Basic 5 Runtime Files.

IPCQ0003:

Q: The Register form won't send, and I can't get in to the program!

A: Press the "Skip"- button, and IP-Checker should be ready for use!

IPCQ0004:

Q: Is IP-Checker y2k compliant?

A: Yes. Older versions successfully passed a Y2k test. IP-Checker relies on the Visual basic 6 runtime library for file date comparisons. This is the only Y2K sensitive part in IP-Checker.
